PLDT Competition + Performance Schedules

Dance Team is unique in that we have a training season that allows dancers to train as a team in the summer and attend dance camp in Brainerd, and we have a competitive season that requires an audition called a "Placement Tryout". 

We host placement tryouts in October that determine team placements for the competitive season - if dancers are unable to participate in the summer training season, they are still welcome to try out for winter competitive placement. 

2025 Placement Tryout Schedule + Details

• Monday 10/20 3:15-5:30 pm - PLHS Activities Center
• Tuesday 10/21 3:15-5:30 pm - PLHS Activities Center
• Wednesday 10/22 - 3:30 pm - PLHS Studio

On Monday and Tuesday dancers will learn the skills and combos that will be performed in the audition for a panel of judges on Wednesday in small groups. Tryouts will start at 3:30pm that day, and teams will be announced that same night. 

First day of practice will be Thursday 10/23!

Fall Tryouts take place in mid-August every year! If a dancer makes the team they will practice 3-4 times per week and perform at football games, pepfests, local dance shows, and other community events!
